As Atticus and the children return home in Chapter 22, Aunt Alexandra is waiting up, and, although she is in her dressing gown, Scout notes that she appears to be yet wearing her corset.  This particular detail indicates that Aunt Alexandra does not wish to be relaxed, for she feels that she must maintain her composure and strength for Atticus's arrival.

'I'm sorry, brother,' she murmured.  Having never heard her call Atticus 'brother,' I stole a look at Jem...

In this remark, Aunt Alexander demonstrates a familial loyalty to Atticus.  This emotion is certainly not out of character inlight of her previous discussions about the Finch family tree.  For, family loyalties supercede other feelings. Continuing in her solicitous manner, Aunt Alexandra responds to Atticus's comment about the prejudice of the jury being just as much a part of Maycomb County as the missionary teas:

'You are the last person I thought would turn bitter over this.'

Clearly, the sister loves her brother and is concerned about the emotional effect of the Tom Robinson trial upon her brother Atticus.

The pressure is the result of a force which is acting on a surface, in this case, tire's surface. As we know, the unit of measure for force is Newton [N] and the unit of measure for surface is [m^2]. That's way, talking about the pressures, inside/outside, we are taking about Forces exercised on surfaces.

Explaining the process: If the pressures inside and outside the tire wouldn't be equal, then the shape of the tire would change, as one or the other of the pressures is greater. If the  form is maintained constant, that means that the interior force which is pushing off orthogonally is equal with the exterior force which is pushing in, but forces having opposite directions.

At the beginning of Act IV, the authorities are somewhat worried.  They are going to be hanging John Proctor and Rebecca Nurse the next day.  This worries them because these are the first of the people to be executed who are really important and well-thought of in the community.

Because they are respected, it would be really good for Danforth and Hathorne if Proctor would confess.  Then people could not be angry at the two of them for hanging an innocent man.

But Proctor will not confess, or at least he won't sign the confession and ends up tearing it up.  What he gains is self-respect and his good name.

It is in Chapter 18 that Jonas first finds out the story of his predecessor, Rosemary, which had been shrouded in such secrecy and mystery. In telling Jonas what happened, the Giver is quick to identify comparisons between Jonas and Rosemary: both wanted to experience "everything", and both knew it was their "responsibility" to bear more difficult memories. After the first painful memory that the Giver gave her, she appeared "stunned" at the end, and after that it was all different. It was her inability to cope with and accept these difficult memories of humanity's past that made her decide to request release.

It is interesting that Jonas explicitly implies that Rosemary was not brave enough to be the next Giver. It is important to bear in mind the Giver's response after he has shown Jonas what his father really did with the twins:

Clinical tests and medical investigations for the diagnosis of Lyme disease.

Diagnosis of Lyme disease is based on a detailed history and complete clinical examination, along with specific laboratory tests.

1. Your doctor will ask if you were bitten by the tick and if you develop  outdoor activities in endemic areas as known for ticks.

2. Clinical signs are important, especially the presence of erythema migrans, as described above.

- If there is any doubt regarding the causation of rash, the doctor can measure the size of erythema and then ask you to return to perform a second measurement every 2-3 days away. Erythema migrans increase in size about 1 inch every day;
- There are specific clinical signs with which the physician can distinguish Lyme disease from other diseases.

There are two blood tests that can be used to detect Lyme disease, a screening test (ELISA Lyme), and if the result is positive, a specific test (called "Western blot"), which confirms this infection or a previous infection, from the past.In countries where Lyme disease is very common problem, patients may have tested positive for Borrelia, and without having the disease itself.  Simple positive screening test is not sufficient to establish the diagnosis of Lyme disease: Western blot and has to be positive, also .

Once the tests for Lyme disease is positive, they remain positive for a large period of time, after appropriate treatment. Thus, to repeat the test after patient treatment is not necessary or useful.
