The equation 3^x+2=11 has to be solved.
Subtract 2 from both sides of the equations.
3^x + 2 - 2 = 11 - 2
3^x = 9
Now express 9 as a power of 3, 9 = 3^2
3^x = 3^2
As the base is equal of both the sides of the equation, the exponent can be equated
This gives the solution of the equation x = 2
At x = 2, 3^x + 2 = 3^2 + 2 = 9 + 2 = 11
