Examples of preventing cavities?

In addition to the great previous answer I want to add that cavities are best prevented from the inside out. People may have a tendency to get cavities just like others have a propensity to get osteosporosis.

If you have a pronness to brittle nails, and brittle bones, chances are you might also be prone to cavities, no matter how well you take care of your teeth. So, in addition to the recommendations above, you can treat cavities from the inside out by:

Adding lots of calcium to your diet

Reducing carbohydrates, especially snacking them frequently

Eat dark, leafy veggies and green tea to obtain flouride naturally aside from your toothpaste.
