For WWF, describe their aim and political agenda. Also consider how this organization may influence science, either positively or negatively?WWF =...

The World Wide Fund for Nature is dedicated to making positive changes in our world that will prevent and in some case reverse environmental damage to our planet.  Initially the agency was devoted to the preservation of animals (World Wild Life Fund).  However, as the agency sought to find a way to stop the destruction of species whose habitats were being cut away or damaged through the negative effects of civilization, the agnecy began to recognize that the problem was a global issue.  The agency also became aware that the damages to the environment could very well result in the extinction of every species including humans.

The World Wide Fund for Nature is now dedicated to;

mission is to stop the degradation of our planet's natural environment, and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature."

The agency involved in many aspects of the planet earth.  The agency uses science to impact and better understand and the needs and damage caused to the planet and the impact on the species on earth.  To meet their goals they hire teams of conservational scientists on a global scale.  The scientists collect data, analyze the data, and the data helps to drive the direction of funding allocation, sets priorities, and dives political activism.

The agency is involved in working on the major environmental issues of our planet.  Some of the issues include: policy change and formation, promoting market change, conservation partnerships, reducing the carbon footprint, increasing public awareness, obtaining funding to drive their program, and research and development.
